Fantastic Effort to Help Those Suffering Alzheimer’s, PTSD, and Autism in Toms River, NJ
This is a fantastic local fundraiser which looks to help families dealing with issues like Alzheimer's, PTSD, and Autism to name a few. It's an upcoming fundraiser in Lakewood at Finnigan's Lanes that will be fun for a great cause.
It's Bowling with Benefits and it's an effort to bring a "Mobile Sensory Unit" to Toms River. Organizer Tracey Fournier said, "We're very grateful to Mayor Hill for his support with this project."
According to Tracey….A sensory activation vehicle is a space which is designed to help an individual with a sensory need to regulate the brain’s negative reaction to external stimuli. The vehicle provides a low-stress, controlled environment to work through the stressor and allow the person to re-enter the preferred activity with a new confidence. This type of vehicle can benefit those with Autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and PTSD….such as our honored veterans.
