Last Thanksgiving holiday was a deadly one in New Jersey with 7 out of 10 fatal accidents caused by impaired driving according to Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

This Thanksgiving Eve, and throughout the long holiday weekend, officials will be taking action to hopefully prevent fatal accidents due to drunk/impaired drivers.

According to Seaside Shorebeat:

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday that the stepped-up enforcement would consist of “numerous” sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols, concentrated in the Seaside Heights area. The program will also include the presence of multiple drug recognition experts – officers who are trained to detect whether someone is driving impaired due to the use of illicit drugs.

With all the parties going on in Seaside Heights, and all around the shore this weekend, take my advice...use Uber, Lyft, or get a designated driver!!
