Donovan Catholic High School was briefly evacuated this morning on reports of something "beeping" in the gymnasium garbage can.

Toms River Police Spokeswoman Jillian Messina said that  as a precautionary measure the school was evacuated while officers were able to determine the source of the sound.

Officers then discovered on scene that someone threw a insulin pump in the garbage can and it began beeping.

The all clear was given after police determined the school was safe.

Donovan Catholic students have returned to class and the school day is continuing as normal.

Mark Anthony contributed to this report.
