When the Phillies signed closer David Robertson to a two-year deal heading into the 2019 season, they thought they would be getting a back-end bullpen option that would anchor the pen alongside returning closer Seranthony Dominguez.  Both pitchers had Tommy John surgery soon thereafter.  They finally will pitch together in the same Phillies bullpen.

Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports that Ben Brown will be the prospect sent to Chicago in exchange.

The Phillies can presumably move on from Jeurys Familia, who brought ire to Phillies fans.  That gives the Phillies a back-end of the bullpen of Dominguez, Robertson, Brad Hand, Connor Brogdon, and Jose Alvarado to go along with Nick Nelson, Andrew Bellatti, and Corey Knebel.

Not bad.
