Lays Potato Chips have announced a new flavor, inspired by an iconic eatery - Geno's Steaks cheesesteak chips!

Almost exactly five years ago(!), Andy and I got to sample a few of the specialty Lays flavors. We tried New York Reuben, Greektown Gyro, Southern Biscuits & Gravy, and Truffle Fries, but I feel like they would all pale in comparison to a chip that actually tasted like a cheesesteak.

Now, here's where the real controversy starts: Pat's is better than Geno's. There, I said it. Fight me.

It's a culinary turf war that has gone on forever, with the two cheesesteak shops set up opposite each other in Philadelphia. Geno's is garish, covered in neon and flames and bright colors; Pat's, on the other hand, is much more hole-in-the-wall, the type of place that doesn't draw attention to itself, the kind of place that conceivably could be a local secret if not for the location directly across from Geno's. There might be some weird psychological thing you can glean about me in the fact that I shun the "look at me" style of Geno's, but keep your analyzing to yourself for now.

I also know that honestly, Geno's & Pat's are both for tourists. I have friends and family that live/lived in and around Philadelphia, and I've always been told about some real "authentic" place a few blocks away, and regrettably I've never made the trip to check one of them out.

So what's your fave place to get a cheesesteak? Whether it's a local shop at the Jersey Shore, or if you make the trip into Philadelphia with one goal in mind, where is the best?
