A Toms River man with a criminal history has been charged with a number of offenses after Mantoloking Police found him with two loaded guns at the site of a single car crash on Route 35.

Mantoloking Police said that an officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Sunday morning around 3:02 am in the 1200 block of Ocean Avenue.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found 46-year old Jeremy W. Barringer of Toms River wearing body armor and in possessions of a loaded AR-15 rifle, three high capacity magazines with hollow point bullets, one loaded 9mm handgun with additional magazines loaded with hollow point rounds and a holster.

Barringer was then arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a rifle, unlawful possession of a hand gun, possession of 59-9mm hollow point bullets, possession of 80-5.56 hollow point rifle rounds, possession of a weapon after being a convicted sex offender and eight counts of possession of high capacity magazines.

Barringer was then brought to the Ocean County Jail and Mantoloking Police said that additional charges are pending.
