This article was something I came across this week from 24/7 Wall St. The article entitled “The Best Independent Coffee Shops in America” they focused on several locations they picked as the best of the best. According to the 24/7 Wall St. article they reviewed and extrapolated info from articles and rankings on a wide range of websites including details from Travel & Leisure, Eater, Food & Wine, The Culture Trip, Fodors, Cheapism, Eater, Yelp, Time Out, and Big Seven Travel along with numerous local and state coffee shops. So there was a lot of data that went into this survey.

In this article there was one New Jersey coffee shop that made their list of the “Best Independent Coffee Shops” and the was a place called Roast’d  located in Fort Lee, Hasbrouck Heights and Franklin Lakes. They site their baristas along with the finest beans from around the world that the roast on-site. They also have many single-origin coffees on the menu. I personally have not been to any Roast’d locations, but next time I’m in those areas i will.

What makes a good “coffee shop”? Well obviously the coffee and the selection of what’s available. Add to that the baristas and the atmosphere and you have a good coffee shop and I’m sure you have been to many during your travels.
