Celebrate ‘American Pride Day’ With These Jersey Shore Symbols Patriotism
Celebrate the 4th of July as 105.7 The Hawk launches 'American Pride Day'. Every hour, we'll be featuring a four play from a great American Classic Rock artist. You'll hear tracks from Van Halen, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, of course, Bruce Springsteen and many more. As you fire up your barbecues, parties, and fireworks, let us be the soundtrack to your Jersey Shore 4th of July.
Check Out These Local Symbols of American Pride:
If you’ve traveled along Route 9 past Southern Regional High School in the days leading up to Memorial Day in the past, you know how awe inspiring the display is.
If you’ve ever taken Route 539 to get from Manahawkin to Whiting (or vice versa), you’ve probably encountered this unmistakeable landmark. We're talking about ‘Patriot Rock’ or ‘The Rock on Route 539′.
If you've ever driven through Ocean County, you've probably seen this guy walking on the side of road dressed in red white and blue, and carrying a huge American Flag.
Nothing says "America" like explosions. This 4th of July, it's a smorgasbord of fireworks displays. From Sandy Hook to Long Beach Island, it'll be hard to miss a show this year. Remember, the 4th falls on a Wednesday this year, and a lot of towns are opting to have their fireworks on alternate dates.
