CDS, Glass Pipe, Heroin, Cocaine among items seized by Brick PD

Brick Police Street Crimes Unit Detectives have arrested residents from Toms River, Wall, Hamilton and two from Brick as part of separate investigations but all involving narcotics.

The department has announced the arrests of 34-year old Jason Feliciano and 38-year old Clifton Tancemore of Brick, 42-year old Coffi Assogbahou of Hamilton, 51-year old Michael Havekost of Wall and 45-year old Nelson Rodriguez of Toms River.

The investigations, noted, began on August 26, around 8:00 pm when SCU Detectives spotted Feliciano driving a vehicle while having a suspended license and after pulling him over, officers learned he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Feliciano was also found with a prescription bottle filled with urine, "suspected to be used for urine tests to determine drug use."

During that stop, Tancemore approached the Brick Police Officers who learned that he also had outstanding warrants out for his arrest.

When officers tried to arrest Tancemore, he resisted initially, until he was finally placed in handcuffs.

Feliciano was charged with Contempt of Court, Possession of a Device Used to Defraud Administration of a Drug Test, and Driving While Suspended and was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

Tancemore was charged with Contempt of Court and Resisting Arrest and was released on a summons.

Assogbahou was arrested for DWI and other motor vehicle offenses on September 7 after officers pulled him over for driving on the wrong side of the road, around 2:30 am.

Havekost and Rodriguez were arrested after Brick SCU Detectives witnessed a hand-to-hand transaction in the parking lot of Walmart on Route 88 on Wednesday September 8 around 6:00 pm.

The vehicle was pulled over but before it was police said that the passenger threw a small black bag and a glass pipe out of the window, which turned out to contain an undisclosed quantity of cocaine and heroin packaged for resale.

There was a lot of groceries in the vehicle as well and it was then that Detectives located an EBT card belonging to a deceased individual out of Wall Township that the suspects used to purchase the groceries.

The driver, Havekost was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) with Intent to Distribute, 4 counts of Possession of a CDS, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

Havekost was lodged in Ocean County Jail.

The passenger, Rodriguez, who was also found with a knife, was charged with Possession of a CDS with Intent to Distribute, 4 counts of Possession of a CDS, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

Rodriguez was lodged in Ocean County Jail.
