A crowded mall with a lot of noise could be too much for a child with special needs.  So Autism Speaks organized an event called "Caring Santa" for families at 5 New Jersey malls.

The event was held two hours before the hustle and bustle of normal mall hours, it employed Santa's that have been specially trained to work with special needs children and the event sold out in advance at 4 of the 5 malls.

NJ.com says,

During Caring Santa, families are provided extra time with Santa, who has been specially trained to speak slowly and quietly, and wait for the perfect holiday photo.

"The smile on the kid's face is the best," said Santa.

The event was held at the Quaker Bridge Mall, Cherry Hill Mall, the Ocean County Mall, Voorhees Town Center and Rockaway Townsquare.
