HOLMDEL — Residents in a quiet Monmouth County neighborhood woke up to their cars burglarized on Saturday, according to the Holmdel Police Department.

At 7:25 am, officers responded to a burglary call on Winthrop Drive and an attempted car burglary on Bryce Road.

The subsequent investigation revealed that at 5:47 am, two black male suspects entered a resident's unlocked vehicles in their driveway. They then proceeded to take a White Dodge Ram truck, but only to return it ten minutes later and took off in a blue SUV.

At 9:45 am, officers received another call at a Lucarelli Drive address. The same black male suspects removed the car cover from a vehicle in a driveway and were confronted before they could get inside. They bolted the scene in the same blue SUV.

A Holmdel officer identified the blue SUV traveling on Telegraph Hill Road. When officers tried to inmate a traffic stop, the vehicle escaped at a high rate of speed and successfully eluding the officers. The suspect was last seen on the Garden State Parkway heading north at exit 117.

The blue SUV that the suspects are driving has been identified as a stolen 2017 Ford Edge, with a New Jersey License Plate: E30JNJ out of Belle Mead.

More reports of cars being burglarized came in after the vehicle was last seen. At 10:15 am, a resident on Foxhunt Road reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole personal items. Police reviewed security footage and revealed that two male subjects entered the vehicle at 6:15 am.

The Holmdel Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Holmdel Police Detective Bureau.
