Brick Teens Receive Amazing Support From Community

Their father died when they were young. Their mother abandoned them, leaving them to be raised by their grandmother. Superstorm Sandy took their house. Recently, their grandmother passed away. Brothers Patrick and Tyler Giesler have had an extremely rough time in just their 18 and 19 years of life.

The two were members of the Brick Dragons football team, and two coaches have set up a GoFundMe to help the Giesler brothers. At the moment, they've raised over $58,000 of the $70,000 goal.

More good news came in for the boys over the weekend, as a permanent living situation has been found!

I know I tend to roll my eyes at GoFundMe and other online donation things, especially when we hear about scams all the time, but this one seems legit. These kids have had to endure a lot in a short time, and with the support of their coaches (who are running the fundraiser), hopefully life will turn a bit sunnier.
