The Brick teen charged with committing the heinous act of murdering his own father has received his prison sentence.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced the 11-year aggregate term against 15-year old Ibrahim Khater that will be served under the custody of the Juvenile Justice Commission.

Ibrahim previously plead guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter in the death of 38-year old Mohammed Khater, who he stabbed on the right side of his abdomen on January 16.

Brick Police were first on scene that day, around 2:45 pm, following a 9-1-1 call.

Mohammed was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he later passed away from his injuries.

Brick Police, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and Ocean County Sheriff's Office CSI Unit investigated the stabbing and it led them to arresting and charging the man's 15-year old son.

In addition to the Aggravated Manslaughter charge he plead guilty to, Ibrahim also plead guilty to Throwing Bodily Fluids at a Law Enforcement Officer (which occurred at the OC Juvenile Detention Center) and an unrelated Robbery offense -- for which he had been sentenced to probation.

Ibrahim Khater has been in a Juvenile Detention Center since his apprehension.

Prosecutor Billhimer said that Assistant Prosecutor Madeline Buczynski and Chief Juvenile Attorney Anthony Pierro handled the case on behalf of the State.
