Through their preliminary and on-scene investigation to this point, Brick Police said that they learned 82-year old Joyce Asay of Brick was heading west in a 2014 Subaru Legacy along Blake Circle heading towards the Boulevard as 75-year old Michael Falcone was walking east on Blake Circle, also heading towards the Boulevard.

Asay stopped her vehicle at the intersection as Falcone was crossing but then started turning right onto the Boulevard, at which time she hit Falcone at the intersection.

Brick Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and from there, Falcone was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing and is being conducted by the Brick Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and Patrolman Daniel Fogarty.

If you witnessed or have information related to the crash, you're  being asked to contact Ptl. Daniel Fogarty #211 at (732) 262-1141.
