Call it a summertime miracle, but it looks like one of the most iconic since cream parlors in Jersey isn't going to close after all!

And if that's not a good reason for a midday cone, I don't know what it is.

Jersey does love its ice cream, that's an undeniable fact.

Whether it's soft serve from Kohrs on the boardwalk, a nice big scoop from Rich's, or Yellow Brick Road, ice cream and Jersey just go together.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Polish Water Ice.

It's not exactly soft serve, and it's not really water ice either, it's just my favorite summertime treat.

However, there's one ice cream shop in Jersey that's been around for almost 100 years, and last year it announced it was going to close permanently.

It was a devastating blow to ice cream lovers all over the state.

But, just as we are getting ready to kick off summer, it appears as though this beloved ice cream shop will remain open, at least for this year.

What Iconic New Jersey Ice Cream Shop Will Remain Open This Year?

It's a shop that's known for its old-school vibes, sit-down service, and spinning stools.

The shop has been open since the 1930s and made a name for itself thanks to its egg cream sodas.

Today, it serves an array of flavors and treats, and soon you'll be able to get food too.

The shop was going to close this year because it was no longer able to keep the business running, but thankfully a local business has stepped in to help.

Thanks to Rony's Rockin' Grill, it looks like the legendary Bischoff's Ice Cream in Bergen County will remain open for the 2023 season.

According to NJ.com, Rony's Rockin' Grill stepped in at the zero hour to partner up with Bischoff's Ice Cream to ensure the ice cream shop could remain open this year.

Bischoff's will remain open for the 2023 summer opening sometime around memorial day and then closing for the season around Labour Day.

NJ.com reports that after Labour Day if all goes well, Bischoff's will close for a remodel and will continue to operate for years to come.
