Of All New Jersey’s Great Theme Parks, This One Is Our Favorite
Is there anything more iconic than a hot summer day spent at an amusement park?
When I was growing up, there was nothing better than taking a day in the summer to go to one of the amusement parks near my hometown, we'd end up spending the day at Dorney Park, or Hershey Park and they are some of my fondest memories as a kid.

New Jersey is no stranger to amusement parks, in fact, we've got a ton of great places you can take the family out for a day of fun.
But what would you say is Jersey's best amusement park?
I'd imagine it depends on what types of rides you like, and what kind of vibe you're looking for.
For example, I'm not big on rides however I love being near the Shore so places like Casino Pier, Steel Pier, and Castaway Cove are some of my favorite amusement parks in Jersey.
It's not because they have the best rides, but because they're all located on the boardwalk right near the beach, so while I watch my niece ride the tilt-a-hurl for the fifth time, at least I can smell the salt air!
Although all three of those piers are listed in Stacker's list of best amusement parks in Jersey, none of them take the cake as the best in the state.
That accolade is reserved for Six Flags Great Adventure.
It's ranked as the best amusement park in the state of New Jersey, despite the fact that it's seen a lot of changes over the past few weeks and months.
Stacker reports that Great Adventure regularly brings in a 4 out of 5 rating on Tripadvisor and is always trying to reinvent itself to be a state-of-the-art park.
