There's nothing I enjoy more than writing about New Jersey's unique and delicious food scene. There's just so much to explore, write about, and of course eat, that it's always fun and exciting. For example, writing about food in NJ is what led me to find Backdoor Pizza, which is an NJ pizzeria that literally serves its pies out the back door of a strip mall. It's wild.

New Jersey Loves Its Bakeries, These Are Among The Best At The Shore

Of course, there's nothing NJ loves more than its desserts, and we have plenty of great bakeries to choose from to get our sweet tooth fix. I'm a big fan of 502 Bakery in Brick, NJ. They have amazing chocolate chip cookies. Waretown Bakery is regularly a go-to stop for locals for donuts and other pastries, and you can't talk Jersey bakeries without mentioning Muellers, the king of the crumb cake at the Jersey Shore.

There's no dessert, however, quite like the cannoli; you either love a cannoli or you hate it. There's not much middle ground, and cannoli lovers are an incredibly passionate bunch.
