There's nothing more fun in the summer months in Jersey than taking a day to go to an amusement park.

There's just something about the rush, and the thrill of hopping onto a ride and just letting go and feeling the wind across your face, and that pit in your stomach as you get ready to take a big drop off a massive roller coaster.

The Jersey Shore is no stranger to amazing amusement parks.

When I was a kid growing up spending summers in Sea Isle City, there was this amazing little amusement park right down the road from the house we would rent.

It had bumper cars, swinging boggs, a little rollercoaster, a tilt-a-whirl, and a ton of classic amusement rides, it was called Fun City right of Landis, and it was closed sometime in 1999.

But Jersey is home to some pretty amazing amusement parks from shore-side piers that overlook the ocean while you ride the Ferris wheel, to sprawling parks where you can get lost with all of the ride options you have.

Jersey has somewhere in the area of 21 unique amusement parks, some of them indoors some near the shore, and some so big that people drive hours and hours to enjoy what they have to offer.

My personal favorites are #10 and #7 on this list, and that's mainly just for nostalgic purposes.

So get ready to keep your arms and legs inside at all times, and throw on your safety bar as we take a tour of the best amusement parks New Jersey has to offer.
