Beachwood man charged with assault in robbery at borough home
A Beachwood man is being charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft and Criminal Mischief after attacking a man and stealing his personal belongings at a residence.
Police saw the 19-year old victim who appeared to be injured walking along Cherry Street and Pacific Avenue.
It turned out he was leaving a home where police say he had just been assaulted and fled following the encounter.
The victim was transported to Community Medical Center for injuries sustained as a result of the attack.
Beachwood Police Detectives then began their investigation.
They executed a court authorized search warrant at the residence where the assault took place and personal items that were reported stolen by the victim were recovered along with a weapon that was allegedly used during the assault.
Zachary Molino, 19, was then charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft, and Criminal Mischief.
The investigation by detectives then led to charges of Simple Assault being brought against Joseph A. Wright, Jr., 18, of Lanoka Harbor and a charge of Theft against Dayton R. Chapman, 19, of Stafford Township.
