Forty years after it arrived in record stores, Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell will make the leap to the stage.

Premieres for the show are scheduled to take place at the Manchester Opera House between Feb. 17 and April 8.

The musical, which promises "a romantic adventure about rebellious youth and passionate love, set against the backdrop of a post-cataclysmic city adrift from the mainland," follows the story of "Strat, the forever young leader of the Lost," who "has fallen for Raven, daughter of Falco, the tyrannical ruler of Obsidian." Songs incorporated into the storyline include "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth," "Bat Out of Hell," "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)" and "Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad," as well as two previously unreleased Steinman compositions, "What Part of My Body Hurts the Most" and "Not Allowed to Love."
Although Meat Loaf is not directly involved in the production, it has his support. "I love Jimmy," he told Billboard when the show was announced in September. "He and I have been friends and worked together for over 40 years, so it’s incredible for me to see his dream of over 50 years finally come to fruition."
