When AC/DC originally announced last year that they were going to do an entire album full of covers of their favorite songs, no one was quite sure what songs or bands they were going to pay homage to. The wait is over because we know now exactly what songs hey'll be covering and what the first song released from the new album entitled 'Anthems' will be.

According to Loudwire, the first single being released from the new album 'Anthems' is a cover of AC/DC's classic 'T.N.T.'

Drummer Charlie Benante told Loudwire , “Back in the day, when we would do encores we would play AC/DC’s ‘Whole Lotta Rosie.’ We never recorded it back then, but when we were in the studio making ‘Worship Music,’ we decided we wanted to. But [singer] Joey [Belladonna] really wanted to do ‘T.N.T.’ He felt it was more in his style, and he knew the song backwards and forwards, so we recorded that, and it’s great.”

Great would be an understatement, because Anthrax does an amazing job with the cover of the AC/Dc hit to say the least.

Other songs being covered on the EP are Rush's 'Anthem,' Thin Lizzy's 'Jailbreak,'  Boston's 'Smokin',' and Journey's 'Keep on Runnin'' among others.

The new album 'Anthems' is due out March 19th but you can pre-order it by clicking HERE.
