The humor of David Wain is something of an acquired taste. He wrote one of my favorite movies, Wet Hot American Summer. He was a part of the criminally underrated Stella. He appeared in the also-underrated Another Period. He's even a recurring voice on Bob's Burgers. He just has a weird-as-hell, off-beat, quirky sense of humor.

I've tried to introduce a lot of people to Stella or WHAS, and the usual response is "what the hell are you making me watch?" I guess that's just a deeper look at what my brain finds funny, and why I haven't been able to stop laughing at David Wain's retelling of his time with the E Street Band.

I'm literally never going to hear "Born to Run" again without singing "salt and pepper" and "Japanese Louise".
