Here's an eerie tune for you to enjoy this Friday the 13th.

"Thirteen" appears on Johnny Cash's 1994 album American Recordings. The tune was written specifically for Cash by rocker Glenn Danzig, who later recorded it for his own album, 6:66 Satan's Child.

In live performances, Cash explained that producer Rick Rubin introduced him to Danzig as only "Glenn." Cash didn't know who Danzig was when he pitched the song idea.

Danzig supposedly took only 20 minutes to write the spooky tale of a nameless man "born in the soul of misery."

Astute listeners may recognize Danzig's version of the song from the opening credits of the film The Hangover.

Enjoy your Friday the 13th!
