A Busy Jersey Shore, NJ GSP Exit Is Closing for 8 Months
How will this impact you? We all hate to see this, especially if you have to use it every day for work or to head home.
Here's what you need to know, according to nj.com. A project which started earlier this week has a lot of commuters having to go a long way to get around and get off at a further exit. The exit is 105. Exit 105 Tinton Falls South on the Garden State Parkway will be closed starting this week (the rain might postpone this) and ending sometime in May 2023.
From the gspexit105.com website: This project includes the replacement of beams, bridge deck, and parapets to improve five of the six bridges located at the Garden State Parkway Interchange 105 in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Detour signs will be posted and you can check out the website gspexit105.com for more information about this giant project and detours.
When there is a detour on the Garden State Parkway it seems to mess everything up. We don't have time to wait or watch for detours. Reading about this project at 105 on the GSP, it seems these bridges off this exit need some work. It will be a 17 Million Dollar project, that's crazy. But, it's something that needs to be done.
Hopefully, most of the work will be done after the busy drive-time work hours, but there will still be a detour and this exit will be closed for quite a while.
The hands-free Garden State Parkway information number to call is 511. As you get closer to exit 105, 511 will have detours and information about this project.
