I recently went back to the movies for the first time, in a long time. I haven't been to the movies in quite a long time. Not entirely because of the pandemic, I have just been busy and haven't had time to go.

I went recently to a local theatre and to be honest, I totally enjoyed it. I had forgotten how much better a movie, especially action films, is on the big screen with big sound. It was a real treat to have the Snow Caps and popcorn and to watch our movie.

As I spoke about on the air this week, we went to go see the latest Marvel Comics movie Thor: Love and Thunder. It was a fun movie. A typical superhero film with both funny and sad moments. The biggest opening for a Thor movie.  As I mentioned it was so much better on the big screen with real surround sound.

Now in an effort to make it a bit easier for families to go out to the movies, AMC Theatres have announced a new program to bring reduced-priced movie nights to New Jersey theatres.

In a recent Patch article, AMC Theatres this week announced they will reduce movie ticket prices to $5 every Tuesday. According to the report "AMC Theaters is offering $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays now through Halloween. The discount can be applied to any movie at any AMC location in the U.S. Additional charges may be applied to IMAX, 3D, and Prime viewing showings."

This reduction will bring prices down for families to better afford a trip to the theatre. Not only here in New Jersey, but around the country as well.

What's the last movie you went to see?
