21 Shore Conference public schools projected to qualify for the NJSIAA football playoffs

Gridiron New Jersey released its final United Power Rankings calculations on Saturday night. And in the final standings, a total of 21 Shore Conference public schools have qualified for the 2022 NJSIAA Playoffs.

The top 16 teams in each super section qualify for the playoffs. The teams are then placed in traditional sections (North 1, North 2, Central, South). The non-public schools still have one more week of regular-season games before the Non-Public A and Non-Public B brackets are seeded by a committee.

Four teams received No. 1 seeds in their respective sections; Toms River North (South 5), Middletown South (Central 4), Point Boro (Central 2), and Raritan (South 2). Toms River North, Middletown South, and Point Boro were all No. 1 overall in their super sections.

In the South Group 3 super section, Wall was 13th in UPR but ineligible because of an NJSIAA rule stating teams with less than two wins cannot qualify. Wall is 1-6 after picking up its first win of the season, 14-7 over Manalapan, on Friday night.

Also notable are Marlboro returning to the playoffs for the first time since 1999 and Matawan making its first appearance since 2015
