Fourteen people were stuck in an elevator at the Tropicana Casino and Resort for six hours over the weekend.

Firefighters rescued the people by pulling them 100 feet by ropes to safety, authorities said. The process took several hours as each person was lifted out using a rope and harness system.

The last person was rescued at about 6:30 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
