Unfortunately, it's been a tough time for Special Olympic athletes in New Jersey. Like many, the athletes have been struggling in isolation during COVID-19. However, I GOT GREAT NEWS, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Now through February 21st, you can support the Special Olympics New Jersey at any New Jersey Wawa location. You can donate spare change to Wawa's coin canisters or round-up to the nearest dollar at the register. I gave a donation today and it felt great! Your donation will ensure that the athletes can pick up where they left off with their training, games, and events when it's safe to do so. You probably have your favorite location but if you need help finding a Wawa use their "FIND A WAWA" locator.

Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 26,000 athletes. All programs are free to eligible athletes, including insurance, facilities, equipment, uniforms housing, and meals. Athletes can play anything from flag football in the fall to softball in the summer. The full list of sports can be seen by CLICKING THIS LINK.

Maybe this pandemic has wanted you to get out and experience other things. The Special Olympics New Jersey is always looking for volunteers. They rely on thousands of volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and enthusiasm. If you want to get involved and help out, TAP HERE!
