Wall pain management office administrator arrested for theft

An Oceanport man has been arrested for creating a financial pain of his own at the pain management center he worked at in Wall Township.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni said that William Donald, 61, was an office administrator at the pain management center where he allegedly stole more than $150,000 from the business.

On Tuesday, detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, with the assistance of the Wall Township Police Department, arrested Donald on a complaint charging him with Theft by Unlawful Taking, a second degree crime and Falsifying or Tampering with Records, a fourth degree crime.

An investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wall Township Police Department, revealed that from June 2016 until February 2019, Donald misappropriated $155,577.12 from a pain management center located in Wall Township, while employed as an Office Administrator.

As an Office Administrator, Donald is accused of opening a point of sale machine, in his name, claiming he was the sole owner of the practice.

A point of sale machine is an electronic device used to process card payments at retail locations.

The funds for the point of sale machine came from the Pain Management Center’s bank accounts.

Donald used the stolen funds to pay personal bills, which included his personal vehicle, pay for his sons’ rent and bills incurred on a property he owned in Vermont.

If convicted on the second degree crime, Donald faces five to ten years in a New Jersey State Prison.

If convicted on the fourth degree crime, the defendant faces up to 18 months in a New Jersey State Prison.

The case is assigned to Assistant Prosecutor Joshua Detzky.
