Today is the first official day of summer and what celebrates the season better than a food festival.  After ample research it has been determined that this is the very best food festival in the state of New Jersey and you don’t want to miss it!

You can’t do better than the backdrop of the Jersey Shore when you are picking a place to have a festival.  So it is no surprise that the most can’t miss festival is at the Jersey Shore.  Since the Atlantic Ocean is the backdrop it makes even more sense that the number one food festival in our state is in beautiful Point Pleasant.

This festival is a town staple that has been around since 1975.  Of course I'm talking about the Festival of the Sea in Point Pleasant.  As you can imagine the seafood could not be fresher and it is served up in all kinds of ways.  The area’s best restaurants and food trucks offer crab cakes that will bring you to your knees, lobster in all forms and prawn skewers for days.  It all happens in downtown Point Pleasant, right by the boardwalk. Did I mention that the magic is set to music?  Local musicians entertain us while we soak in the sun.
