Things That Disney World & Atlantic City Have In Common

This is not crazy. Please give this article a chance.

It just came to me that while we are in Disney World that there are some real similarities to home … the Atlantic City area.

DISNEY’S BOARDWALK RESORT:

It’s basically modeled after Atlantic City, New Jersey.

While there, you will see constant reminders. The Boardwalk itself and numerous photos and other Atlantic City items, such as Miss America photos and many other Atlantic City specific art effects.

Here is the Atlantic City iconic rolling chair in Disney World:

LUCY THE ELEPHANT is also is Disney World:

In the hotel lobby is a large model of Lucy. I will add my photo if this when I locate it. It’s amazing.

The iconic STEEL PIER DIVING HORSE is in Disney World:

Look at this reminder. An amazing depiction of the beach, Boardwalk and Grand Hotels in Atlantic City from yesteryear. The horse rides on the beach looks spectacular.

It’s not just The Disney Boardwalk Resort that delivers reminders from Atlantic City.

It’s just like Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, with Frank Sinatra and countless other super stars that placed their hands in wet concrete:

Would it surprise you to learn that about 18 million people visit The Magic Kingdom each and every year … however, more than 20 million people visit Atlantic City?

Sometimes it’s just hard to believe how great your own hometown can compare to other great destination resorts around the country.

Atlantic City gets a bad rap, but, in truth … it shows very well versus the competition.
