I can't count how many times I've seen "That Thing You Do!". It's one of those movies that I can pick up at any time if it happens to be on TV and be happy watching ten or thirty or seventy minutes of it. I have large chunks of the movie memorized. Quotes still occasionally make it into my daily conversations. Somewhere there exists a recording of my college friend and I doing karaoke to the title track. I will be devastated if my daughter doesn't share my love for it once I introduce it to her.

Anyway, The Wonders are reuniting online for a COVID relief benefit!

Tom Everett Scott, Jonathon Schaech, Ethan Embry, Steve Zahn, plus Liv Tyler, will all get together on the band's official YouTube channel on Friday April 17th at 4pm Eastern.

The whole thing will raise funds for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which supports musicians and touring professionals out of work due to the coronavirus.

The event is also a tribute to Adam Schlesinger. The founder of Fountains of Wayne recently passed away due to the coronavirus, and had been nominated for an Oscar for writing the song "That Thing You Do!".
