With most of the bands already cancelling/postponing their summer tours, the Stone Pony made the final decision to cancel this year's Summer Stage Series.

It's been an incredibly rough time for music fans, bands, venues, promoters, crew, and everyone else involved with live music. Bands have been at odds with venues, venues have been at odds with ticket sellers, and there hasn't been a "right answer" that solves everyone's problem.

As more and more bands have made their own decision to postpone or cancel their summer tours, it left the Stone Pony Summer Stage Series with fewer and fewer shows on the calendar. Today, the Pony announced the 2020 season would be cancelled, with their eyes already set on 2021.

I've been going to Summer Stage shows for the past few years, and I was definitely looking forward to a couple shows this summer. There's nothing like that setting, and it's a huge drag to lose it this year. I can't disagree with the decision though, I totally understand why bands are pulling out and why venues are just choosing to skip. Here's to 2021!
