This is going to be interesting. We're trying to figure out which Monmouth or Ocean County town should hold the honor as the most beautiful Christmas town at the Jersey Shore.

For the purposes of this exercise, we are going to count any Monmouth or Ocean County town, whether they are literally at the Jersey Shore or a little bit inland. We don't want to exclude those great inland towns from our discussion.

We can not list all the towns which have received votes for already, but we can give you a glimpse of the towns that seem to be getting the most mentions so far, so here they are, in no particular order...

Spring Lake...Spring Lake is like a post card year round, so it could be nothing but more amazing around the holidays. And it is, every single year.

Red Bank. There is something so magical about a walk through downtown Red Bank during the holiday season that just can't be described.

Freehold...hardly anything compares to the amazing downtown around the holidays. Just beautiful! And to me, it always feels like a step back in time.

Toms River...another beautiful town all year round, and they always turn it up a notch this time of year. It has that awesome small town feel.

And remember these are just a few of the names that get mentioned a lot, but they are by no means the only ones we think could take the title. We'll let you decide that one. It's a tough decision, but the good news is there are no wrong answers.

We should mention that despite our love for our area, Cape May is leading in votes in our informal survey so far. Let us know what you think in the comment section!
