In fact, Toms River South High School held their prom last Thursday.  Thanks to the generosity of the township and the community, the senior prom for the class of 2021 was set up on the outside lawn of town hall. This was the first prom Toms River Schools held since the pandemic.  Principal Michael Citta said "These kids have been through so much in the past year. We want them to have a special night."

From the looks on their faces, it seems everyone did enjoy themselves.  At the very least, not only will the event be a memory of a lifetime, but the circumstances themselves.  Congratulations!

My senior prom for the Hightstown High School Class of 1986 went off without a hitch.  It was your typical prom.  She shopped for a gown and I got fitted for my tuxedo.  Mom and Dad took pictures before we jumped into my mom’s Rivera and drove to the banquet hall. The DJ played the songs of the time and of course, the slow dances were a must.  The “after-party” was a thing back then.  For us, the plan was to drive to Seaside, rent a room, and party all night.

Here are a few pictures of me and my dates from both my proms...
