It looks like another pretty popular chain restaurant in New Jersey is going through tough times.

It's just a sign of the tough economic times a lot of businesses are currently trying to fight through.

Earlier this month, Denny's announced that it would be closing 150 underperforming stores across the country, only adding to the stress of the restaurant industry.

I saw a stat on the news the other day that said restaurant inflation is quickly outpacing the price at the grocery store, which is causing fewer and fewer people to eat out.

That could be a potential cause for all of these chain restaurants closing that we're seeing.

It makes sense, it costs more to get a Big Mac meal from McDonalds than it does to grab a few groceries and make a nice homemade meal.

Sadly, another popular chain restaurant is closing tons of locations across the country, including 5 in New Jersey, and it's a shame because I used to really love this place growing up.

TGI Friday's Closes Even More Locations Across The US

According to NJ.com, TGI Fridays, the chain known for its casual environment, good food, and fun vibes, has suddenly closed 50 locations across the country.

These stores are all among the underperforming stores that the company is shutting down during its Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

5 of those 50 stores were located in New Jersey.

Fortunately, it looks like the TGI Fridays in Toms River is safe and will remain open alongside the remaining TGI Fridays in Jersey located in Manahawkin, East Windsor, Burlington Township, Washington Township, Linden, and West Orange.
