Humpback Whale

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center was called to the Cohansey River in Cumberland County when a humpback whale washed ashore.

It took some time, but yesterday Seaside Park photographer Eric Wojciechowski finally got what he has been looking for in the Atlantic Ocean off of Seaside Park, NJ Absolutely incredible!

Officials with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center say a young, male humpback whale was dead when it washed up near 20th Street in Sea Isle City.

It's "Shark Week"! There's some great shows on "Animal Planet" all week about sharks (hence...shark week) This Humpback Whale wants to make sure we don't forget about them either.
