As lawmakers aim to give New Jersey motorists the option of pumping their own gas, a poll released on Thursday suggests that most people would stay in their cars if the law were ever to change.

For the first time since he first took office in 2018, there are more New Jersey residents with an unfavorable view of Gov. Phil Murphy than there are New Jerseyans with a favorable view of him, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton Poll released Tuesday.

In the same poll, two-thirds of New Jersey adults support colleges and universities requiring all of their students to be vaccinated for the upcoming fall semester.

About one in six New Jerseyans say they won't get vaccinated against the respiratory illness.

The poll of 1,000 New Jersey adults found many residents are concerned about potential side effects, and feel they don't know enough about how well a vaccine would actually work.
