Six Flags ‘Grape Adventure’ Visits the Hawk’s Nest

The  'Grape Adventure' Wine and Food Festival is coming to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson this weekend! It is a MUST DO for Fall! Wine, food, vendors, safari animals - does it get any better than that?

This weekend, Nov. 3rd & 4th, Six Flags Great Adventure will turn into a hotspot for wine lovers. The 9th Annual Grape Adventure Wine & Food Festival will run from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Wine from 17 Jersey wineries, crafts from 25 local vendors, and food from 18 different stands will fill the park. (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it).

Our friends Jack Tomasello and Heather Brown from Tomasello Wineries and Wagonhouse Wineries stopped by, along with Katie from Six Flags, to fill me in about the event. Both wineries will be at the festival and have been there since it first kicked off. We even got to do some wine sampling (Andy Chase got in on the fun too). All I can say is if this is only a preview of what's to come this weekend, the bar has been set PRETTY HIGH! This is some amazing wine!

Perhaps my favorite feature about this festival is the Safari package! For an extra fee, guests can get a private tour of the safari area at Great Adventure, along with a private wine tasting in Camp Aventura with views of the animals. How cool is that?

This isn't just an event for the adults - there will be live entertainment for the kids as well. What a perfect way to end Halloween and make our start into the holiday season! Pro tip: you can even put a dent in your holiday shopping list at the festival (and/or treat yourself!)
