If you've ever bought furniture used in Jersey, odds are you're familiar with Habitat's ReStore Stores.

Habitat's Restore Stores Are A Great Organization In NJ

This organization collects gently used furniture donations and resells them at an amazingly affordable price.

My wife and I got a really nice bookshelf from Restore for pennies on the dollar, and when it comes time to get rid of your old furniture, they can help you with that, even if they're bulky items.

I had an older leather sofa that weighed nearly 500 pounds, and ReStore was able to come to my house, get rid of the sofa for me, and it only cost a little ten-dollar donation.

Needless to say, I'm a big fan of ReStore, and often shop at the location on 37 in Toms River.

Restore's Mission Is Part Of Habitat For Humanity

ReStore's proceeds go in part to support Habitat for Humanity, and they have stores all over Jersey.

Sadly, however, it appears as though the location in Freehold is getting ready to close its doors for good.

The announcement was made on ReStore Freehold's Instagram page, and the closure is due to multiple factors.

From the rising cost of operating a brick and mortar retail facility, to reduced funding for non-profits, it looks like ReStore Freehold is going to close for good in the Spring of 2026.

That being said, ReStore in Asbury Park will remain open, and their locations throughout Jersey appear to be remaining open as well.
