I'm not much of a thrill seeker, I'll be the first to admit. At least in the sense of amusement rides. I've got a great relationship with gravity and the ground; I don't intend to mess that up. However, thrill seekers have a lot of options in Jersey if they're looking for something to get their blood pumping, and something new is coming to Jenks Amusement Park this summer that'll do just that.

Despite the fact that I'm not a big ride person, I love going to amusement parks and all the piers along the shore. My favorite is Casino Pier. I've spent so many summers in Seaside Heights growing up, and now that I'm older and live near Seaside full-time, going over to the island to just walk around Casino Pier and enjoy the sights and sounds is one of my favorite things to do.

Jenkinson's Amusement Park Is The Perfect Place For Family Fun

One amusement park I love getting to take my niece to in the summer is without a doubt Jenkinsons.

They have so many great kid-friendly options for rides, and she loves the boats and the doggie dash.

A New Thrill Ride Is Opening This Summer At Jenkinson's Amusement Park

Soon, though, real thrill seekers will have a new option at Jenkinson's Amusement Park to get their blood pumping when Point Plummet opens later this summer.

The new drop ride gives you an amazing view of Point Pleasant Beach while you're hoisted high into the sky, only to then free-fall back to the ground in an adrenaline-inducing thrill! Here's what the ride will look like upon completion.

Point Plummet, of course, inspired by Point Pleasant Beach, is replacing the old Pirate's Plunge ride and will offer fun new thrills at Jenks Amusement Park.

When Will Point Plummet Be Open At Jenkinson's Amusement Park?

To date, there's no word on when Point Plummet will be up and running, but Jenks is eyeing an opening of summer 2026. Rest assured, this is going to be an incredible addition to one of the Jersey Shore's best family-friendly amusement parks.
