Point Pleasant’s Diamond Dallas Page Enters WWE Hall of Fame
Despite not starting wrestling til 35, Diamond Dallas Page made enough of an impact to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
Page started his career in WCW in 1991, first as a manager then a wrestler. During his tenure in WCW, he was a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, four-time WCW World Tag Team Champion and one-time WCW World Television Champion.
After WCW was sold in 2001, Page signed with the WWF. He won the WWF European Championship (the oldest champ ever at the age of 46) as well as teaming with Kanyon to win the World Tag Team Championship. After a series of injuries, he left the WWE in 2002.
Page is being inducted along with Olympian Kurt Angle, 80s tag team the Rock N Roll Express, and long-time manager Teddy Long.
Page Joseph Falkinburg was born April 5th, 1956, in Point Pleasant. He attended St. Joseph's High School (now Donovan Catholic) for his first two years of high school before transferring to Point Pleasant Boro HS.
