The upcoming movie “SELMA” (trailer below) is the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic struggle to secure voting rights for all people that culminated with the epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and led to President Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Selma premiered at the American Film Institute Festival on November 11, 2014, began a limited U.S. release on December 25, and expanded into wide theatrical release on January 9, 2015, just two months before the 50th anniversary of the march.
