Rowan University Steps Up To Address The Vet Shortage In NJ
Rowan University is one of Jersey's premier colleges, known for churning out well-rounded students who go on to do great things not only within the state of New Jersey but across the country and across the world.
NJ's First Ever Veterinary School Opens At Rowan University

Rowan University is now home to the only veterinary school in the state of New Jersey.
Up until the Veterinary school opened, if a student from Jersey wanted to become a Vet, they'd have to go to an out-of-state school to get their degree, and that also meant paying out-of-state prices in order to gain that degree.
Now, 75 students make up the inaugural class of Rowan University's very first Vet school.
How Much Does It Cost To Attend Rowan University's Veterinary School?
Do keep in mind that just because this is an in-state school, it does not mean that it's going to be incredibly cheap.
NJ.com reports that for in-state students, it'll cost $37,500 plus another $28,497 per year for room and board. If you're out of state, it'll cost students upwards of $58,500, plus room and board.
Salary Expectations: What Do Vets In New Jersey Typically Earn?
Keeping all of this in mind, the average salary of a Vet in New Jersey is somewhere in the neighborhood of $120,000 $140,000 per year, so you'll be making good money, and in all honesty, probably living out your childhood dreams.
And as someone who also has their dream job, that's worth more than money sometimes.
