NJ Towns Make Lists of “Safest” and “Most Dangerous” Towns In USA
Every year, Neighborhood Scout publishes a list of the Top 100 Safest Cities in America, along with Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in America.
Oak Ridge, Tennessee comes in as the Safest City in America, but Bergenfield represents NJ at #6. Other NJ towns in the Top 100 include Fort Lee (21), Ridgewood (39), Westfield (45), and Sayreville (91).
On the flipside, East St. Louis, Illinois is the Most Dangerous City. Camden comes in at number 4, which is actually an improvement from the city's ranking of 2 in 2016 and topping the list in 2015. Other NJ entries on the Dangerous List are Atlantic City (16), Trenton (42), Bridgeton (46), Newark (55), and Elizabeth (96).
