NJ Is The Most Stressed State
A website used a list of criteria, compiled the data, and came up with the list of the most stressed states in the country - and NJ came out on top.
Zippia used the following items to gather data:
- Long commute times
- Unemployment
- Hours worked
- Population density
- Home price to income ratio
- Percent uninsured population
When the numbers got crunched, NJ landed in the #1 spot, ahead of New York at 5, and way ahead of Pennsylvania at 26. The least stressed state? Iowa, because I get when literally nothing happens in your state, there's nothing to stress about.
The map is kind of interesting. We tend to picture Florida and California as laid-back, beach vacation states, but they come in at 3 and 4, I assume because of the insane commutes (I hate driving in Florida). And tying in what what I already said about Iowa, I guess if you live in the Dakotas or Nebraska or Minnesota you just sit back and watch the corn grow or whatever the hell.
