New Jersey gets a lot of slack for being a bad place to live. People will constantly talk down about our state because it's, and I quote, the armpit of America. I feel as though a lot of the people who say that only look at Jersey and see the stretch of the New Jersey Turnpike that goes past the Newark Airport.
And admittedly, that stretch of road may not do us justice, but everywhere has a road like that, so it shouldn't be justification to trash-talk an entire state.

So, I threw the question up on our radio station's social media pages, asking if you could only show someone one place in order to make them think Jersey was beautiful, what would you show them?

Someone mentioned a day tubing down the Delaware River, then stopping in Frenchtown to enjoy dinner and drinks. Someone else mentioned spending a day at Jenkinsons, soaking up the sun, riding rides, and grabbing some boardwalk food. And another person mentioned New York City, which took me a minute to grasp, but after spending time in an overstimulating place like NYC, I, too, would think Jersey is awesome.
