NJ Banks Turning To ATM, Drive-Thru Only
Social distancing is continuing to expand across all forms of businesses. Restaurants are doing pickup/delivery only, and now banks are closing their lobbies and shifting to ATMs and drive-thru only.
OceanFirst banks will close the lobby in all of their branches starting today (3/17). The bank will only offer services at drive-up windows, which means some locations will close, and others may change their hours. You can get updated info here.
Capital One has already closed five branches that do not have drive-thru or other options. The bank did say that customers with special needs who cannot be served at a drive-thru window can be met in the lobby by a teller. People that need to access safe deposit boxes can make an appointment.
TD Bank has (as of this writing) only closed two locations in New York and one in New Hampshire.
