This Popular New Jersey Discount Store Is No Longer Selling Eggs
I feel like a broken record, but things are getting more expensive whether it be at the pumps, the housing market, or the grocery store.
I've watched gas prices slowly increase the past couple of days and every time I scroll through Zillow houses seem to get more and more expensive.
And I don't need to tell you that the grocery stores have also been hit pretty hard as of late too.
Just the other day, my wife and I went grocery shopping and spent well over $100 on things we needed for the week.
That wasn't including the trip to get meat and chicken for the week!
It seems like the high prices are now starting to have an effect on what stores will and will not keep in stock too.
And one chain, in particular, that's become pretty popular during these tougher times is getting ready to clear one critical item from its shelves because it's too expensive.
The fact that this place is a discount chain is nice because usually, it means you could go there for better prices on the items you need.
It's a place that I know I've shopped at quite a bit over the past few months, whether it be for some household cleaning supplies, snacks, or dairies like milk or creamer.
According to NJ.com, it appears as though the discount chain store Dollar Tree will no longer be selling eggs.
Egg prices have been one of the hardest hit, not only because of inflation but also because of the Avian Flu.
Because of this a representative from Dollar Tree announced that until the fall, the chain would no longer be keeping eggs stocked in its stores.
The price of eggs is still double what they were just about a year ago.
