Live Like Royalty Inside New Jersey’s Most Expensive House on the Market in Mahwah, NJ
21 bedrooms, 26 baths, 50,000 square feet. Take a peek at a home that is so remarkable, it's got its own name.
The historic 'Darlington' was constructed in 1907. It's located at 675 Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah. This house has been restored and sits on 12 acres of grounds surrounded by the Ramapo Mountains.
When I first saw the aerial view, it looked like a beautiful college campus to me. No, this is someone's home.
This place has everything anyone could ever imagine including reception rooms, a great hall, library, tea room, formal dining room, restaurant-style kitchen, movie theater, billiard room, indoor lap pool with spa, massage room, wine room, game room, gym, outdoor pool with cabana, gardens with two fountains, tennis court, and 8-car garage.

Can you imagine what it takes to keep 'Darlington' in pristine condition? Better yet, the property taxes. That bill must be astounding, but I guess anyone that can afford a $40 million castle/mansion/home can handle the property taxes. If the owners are reading this, would you consider putting one of your 21 bedrooms on Airbnb? I would so stay over. I could even make a vacation out of it. It's not like there aren't enough amenities.
How can you not take a look inside, right?
